| This ring is dedicated to quality photos of the natural world taken by amateurs or professionals and displayed freely on the web. Photos include wildlife (animals, insects), landscapes, plants and flowers. Macro photography is welcome, as well as photos taken through a microscope, whether of organisms, or the crystalline structure of a thin slice of rock. It can include photos of astronomical objects such as planets and nebulae. Underwater photography is welcome. Photos of very scenic spots, small back yard scenes, large waterfalls and small brooks, gardens and zen rock gardens, landscapes with old barns or farmhouses, farms, skies, including clouds, sunsets, and sunrises, and scenes from mountaintops into valleys with villages. It can also include sea scenes, coasts, lakes, forests, whatever represents nature. |
